It was pretty shocking to her fans and viewers of the show that she no longer wanted to do the updates. No one knows the exact reason why Janine told TLC that she would no longer be on the show. She wrote a goodbye letter to her fans and we caught a few hints from it.

The letter briefly mentions her religious beliefs. We never heard too much about her religious views because when she talked about God on the show, it was all edited out. Now that she is off the show, she has decided to speak freely about her love of God and her religion. This could be one of the top reasons that she no longer wanted to do TLC ‘My 600 Pound Life’.
We do know that she is still living in Houston, Texas, and she has now gotten down to 281 pounds after starting the show weighing 678 pounds. She tells her fans that God is part of the reason that she was able to lose so much weight and be one the show. It could also have been her very positive attitude.
Another question that fans are concerned about is if she is still with her boyfriend, Doug. Unfortunately, she is no longer with Doug and mentioned that they weren’t together when the show aired. She said that he just wasn’t the right man for her and she knows that she will find one that loves her for who she is.
When Janine was on season six of ‘My 600 Pound Life’, it seemed that she had a long way to go to get to her ideal weight. She continues to share pictures with her fans and on social media. She has had so many positive things happen in her life since being on the show and she tells fans that she is forever grateful for her experience.
