You didn’t think that Peacock would let Netflix have the market cornered on true crime series, right? As it turns out, Peacock has decided to throw it’s hat in the ring and try and one up Netflix, who had their own series about serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. Now Peacock is airing a three part tell-all documentary on Casey Anthony.
That’s right, Casey Anthony, after this long, gets to tell her side of the story. There has been numerous interviews with her parents by Dr. Phil and other media outlets but Casey herself has never exactly stepped forward until now. In fact, for awhile there it was said that she was in hiding and had even gotten plastic surgery so that she wouldn’t be as recognizable.
Casey Anthony in tell-all series on Peacock
Nancy Grace of HLN was consulted to do the documentary when it was being filmed, but ended up declining in the end because she was not allowed by the director to ask Anthony any of the questions that she actually wanted to ask, which just sort of defeats the purpose of a tell-all documentary, right?
One has to wonder, if the director was reigning in Nancy Grace, what sort of questions are they going to ask her? Certainly it can’t be just a “life update” sort of interview, after all, she’s not a YouTuber or IG influencer, she is someone who was accused of murdering her four year old daughter.
There’s been some speculation about whether or not Casey has actually been allowed to profit off of any of this and allegedly one media outlet did pay her $200,000.00 for pictures of her and little Caylee. So far Peacock has not said anything of the sort, but we highly doubt that Casey Anthony is coming forward out of the goodness of her heart after all these years.
We wonder just what motivation she may have to tell her story now, and how the story will change from when she was on the witness stand all those years ago. Will there be any new information that we haven’t heard before? If so, why wasn’t it admitted in court? Inquiring minds want to know. Stay tuned!!!
