Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley have been found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. Their accountant Peter Tatantino was also found guilty in a Georgian court on a series of related charges. These include aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns- presumably on behalf of the Chrisleys.

Prosecutors believe the reality couple submitted forged documents to banks to apply for loans. It is further alleged that Julie Chrisley submitted false credit reports and bank statements in order to rent a Californian property.

The guilty verdict is just one more knock for the television family who are still dealing with the claims that Todd Chrisley cheated on his wife with ex-business partner, Mark Braddock. Mr. Braddock alleged that the Chrisleys paid off a blackmailer $38,000 in cash to keep the supposed gay affair a secret.

As the USA Network stars await sentencing in their bank fraud and tax evasion charges, the husband and wife (for now?) remain free on bond.

Bruce Morris, the attorney for Todd Chrisley has spoken to TMZ saying that an appeal of the jury’s decision is forthcoming. “We are disappointed in the verdict,” he said. The attorney also spoke on Mr. Braddock’s allegations, saying that the one-time business partner in Todd Chrisley’s foreclosure management company was “obsessed” with Todd and wanted to be him.

An initial indictment of the Chrisleys on these charges occurred in August 2019. This was refiled as a new indictment in February 2022.

Todd and Julie, along with their family, have starred on Chrisley Knows Best since 2014. The reality series has recently been renewed, as has the spin-off playing on E!, Growing Up Chrisley, starring children Chase and Savannah Chrisley.

Despite the ongoing legal problems associated with both Todd and Julie Chrisley, NBCUniversal announced a new E! dating series earlier this year entitled, Love Limo. The new reality dating show will be hosted by Todd Chrisley.

    For now.
