We were first introduced to Deavan Clegg on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. She and her ex-husband, Jihoon Lee had one child together, Taeyang. The couple didn’t make it and she ended up moving back to Utah and leaving Jihoon in Korea. Now that she is back in the states, she and her boyfriend Topher Park are expecting a child together, but Deavan has some horrifying news for her fans.
90 Day Fiancé: Taeyang’s Medical Diagnosis
Just this week, Deavan told her fans that Taeyang has been diagnosed with leukemia. He is only three years old and her publicist just announced his diagnosis of b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This is a very common blood cancer in children, but this has completely rocked their world. According to TMZ, “he’s been in the hospital ever since and is expected to stay there a while. He’s already started chemo treatments and is awaiting further procedures. Deavan was told this will be a long two-year process, with a high success rate of full recovery in five years.”
90 Day Fiancé: Deavan Clegg’s Horrifying News About Taeyang’s Diagnosis
There has been a GoFundMe page already set up by her mother. It seems that with all of Taeyang’s hospital stays and visits, the costs will be well over $50,000. There have also been the expenses from the visits when Taeyang was getting diagnosed in the first stages. There will be a lot of fees involved with his medical bills and at this point, they are taking all the help that they can get.
In her newest post on Instagram, Deavan shared the news. She shared pictures of Taeyang and captioned them, “I have vowed to always be 100% transparent with you guys and I am choosing to share the most vulnerable and saddest point of my life right now in hopes it can help give anyone else dealing with a similar situation some strength. I’m overcome with so much emotion and devastation to announce that my beloved son Taeyang who just celebrated his third birthday last week was just diagnosed with childhood cancer, b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia just a few days ago. He has already undergone multiple procedures and started chemotherapy treatment just two days ago. This is every parent’s absolute worst nightmare and I’m trying hard to stay strong for Taeyang, Drascilla, and my baby in my tummy. Taeyang will need around-the-clock hospital care and this will be a long two-year process that has a high success rate of full recovery in five years. I’m still processing all of this and asking for prayers, please.”
Our hearts go out to the family and hope to get positive updates soon on his condition.
