Comedian Gilbert Gottfried passed away at the age of 67 and comedians and fans from around the world have been posting online. One, in particular, was fellow comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan who shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram with the following caption,
“Gilbert was a brilliant comedian, and a pleasure to be around. I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time with him. Universally loved and respected by fellow stand ups. He was a rare and exceptional individual. He will be greatly missed.”

Joe Rogan Posts A Tribute To Fellow Comedian Gilbert Gottfried
Gottfried had appeared on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience recently and a ton of fans heard him for the first time out of character. Gilbert didn’t really sound like that, and it was simply a character he used for comedy and it worked incredibly well.
We’re all saddened to hear of the news that Gilbert has passed and we know that his comedy will continue to live on forever, not to mention his film and television roles. As Rogan said in his post, Gottfried was, “Universally loved and respected by fellow stand ups”.
Rest in peace Gottfried and we wish the best for his friends and family.
