Sports legend, Lawrence Taylor has been arrested yet again. Taylor, who is 62 years old is being charged with failure to register himself as a sexual offender. He was arrested on Friday and authorities feel that Taylor is hiding his charges on purpose and that is one of the reasons that he is under investigation.

Taylor has had quite a whirlwind of events happening in his life right now. He is currently going through a divorce and his attorney mentioned that he needed to stay at a hotel for the time being since this divorce is really shaking up his world.

His attorney stated, “Lawrence Taylor has been compliant with all of the rules and regulations regarding his legal status for the past decade. Mr. Taylor was constantly a resident of the martial home where he was registered, but on the advice of local law enforcement, he was sleeping outside the home. We are confident that this will be dismissed at the first court hearing.”
Lawrence has been living in a hotel since April of 2021 and he never took the time to report that he was in a new neighborhood. This means that he should have reported that he was a sex offender in the area, but failed to do so. There have been a few different rumors about him making a new report and some authorities said he needed to report his move, while others told him that there would be no need to make this report.
Back in 2011, Taylor was ordered to register as a sex offender. That year he plead guilty to patronizing a prostitute and sexual misconduct. Taylor also made claims that the 16-year old woman that he had sex with told him that she was 19, but then she claimed that she never told him that information and he knew all along that she was underage.
Taylor had quite the football career in his younger years. In 2016, he won two Super Bowl titles when he played for the Giants. That year he was also arrested for drinking and driving in Florida when he hit a police car that was stopped on the turnpike in Palm Beach County. He ended up pleading guilty for this crime when he went to court in 2017.
