The National Football League may have just pulled one of their worst moves to date. They announced that 18 of their teams “have been granted access to 26 International Home Marketing Areas (IHMA) across 8 countries as a way for the teams to have access to marketing, engagement, and commercials within those areas.

“NFL fandom begins with our clubs,” said Christopher Halpin, the league’s chief strategy and growth officer in a press release. “This important initiative enables NFL teams to develop meaningful, direct relationships with NFL fans abroad, driving fan growth and avidity globally. We were very pleased with the number, creativity, and level of commitment of club proposals across the board in this initial application period and look forward to teams launching their efforts early next year.”

This Move From The NFL Has Everyone Scratching Their Heads As They Show Map That Removes Taiwan!

This sounds like a good marketing move, so what’s the issue? Well, the NFL included a map to show the countries that would be partnering with the league, however, critics online were quick to point out that they claimed Taiwan as a part of China!

This only reinforces communist China’s grasp on the country and we’ve already seen athletes apologize for claiming Taiwan is its own country! We witnessed John Cena apologize to China in Mandarin after “mistakingly” calling Taiwan a country.

Are the United States and its companies really in bed with China that much and have they sold their souls for a few extra dollars? It certainly seems like it. People commented on the map saying, “If I click this link will it explain why you have Taiwan lumped in with Communist China?”, “Your map is inaccurate. Shows Taiwan as part of China, which it’s not. Mind you, some would argue that your map of UK is incorrect too.”, as well as “Hey @NFL, why do you have Taiwan listed as “China?”

We’ve already seen the NBA bend their knees to the communist China party as well as Hollywood. Is the NFL really next to show their true colors?

What do you think? Can you believe the NFL put out this map claiming Taiwan was a part of China? Let us know in the comments below.
