The Minnesota Vikings were concerned for the health of their player Everson Griffin after the defensive end posted a series of disturbing things on social media, including a video of him waving his gun around.
Overnight, Griffin sent out scary posts and in the video, is seen wide-eyed, speaking quickly while holding his firearm. He claimed that people were in his house trying to kill him.
The Vikings ensured mental health professionals were on-site and cooperating with law enforcement,
“Vikings representatives and the team’s mental health professionals have been on-site at Everson Griffen’s home since early this morning and are cooperating with law enforcement. Our only concern at this time is the safety and well-being of Everson and his family. We will have further comment at the appropriate time.”
Griffin has a history of mental health issues, including an incident in 2018 where he jumped out of an ambulance after he feared, “someone was going to shoot him.”

Vikings’ Everson Griffen Safe After Gun Incident And Posting Disturbing Video
Last night, Griffen called the police saying someone was inside his home and he need help, also claiming he fired his weapon but no one was injured. When they arrived on the scene, they found no intruder, and Griffen refused to come out of the house.
Griffen eventually came out of the home several hours later and is now getting the care that he needs.
This is a very scary situation and one that many people are linking to CTE. While the NFL has taken extreme preventative measures to prevent this brain damage in recent years, it still happens.
No exact medical diagnosis has been given yet.
