Now you see it, now you don’t, folks! Apparently a warning from her followers was all Britney Spears needed to take down her post endorsing Jeffree Star cosmetics. In the original post she had stated that Star was a “genius” and endorsed the Holy Mist spray from his Pink Religion makeup line pretty heavily saying that she didn’t want to wake up or go to sleep without it and that she wanted to “open the cute packaging and freakin’ drink it!” whoa there, Brit, slow down!
However, good product or not, more than 8,000 comments came in warning Britney not to get involved with the controversial youtuber, including one well-meaning commentor that said: “Ok, a lot has happened since you’ve been locked up so wer’re gonna have to talk about Jeffree but we love you.”
Britney deleted the post by Thursday.
Indeed, Britney would not have known about the whole scandal involving Jeffree Star, including the sexual assault and harassment scandals and the whole “Bye Sister” scandal with James Charles.

So, she was completely innocent when she posted this, there was a long time when Britney was not really allowed to read anything other than the bible back in the early days of her conservatorship so you can definitely see where she’d miss a whole social media scandal like Jeffree Star coming through. It’s been 13 years, so we’ll gladly give her a break.
It is a breath of fresh air to see her actually listening to her followers and taking down the problematic post however because sometimes it’s hard to get a celebrity to listen, and it seems that Britney is at least open to her fans’ opinions about things.
We’re pretty sure that upon doing some googling herself she saw that maybe she didn’t want to shout out someone who had been connected with such scandals in the past – although – you have to admit that would have been one hell of a “Jeffree Star does my makeup” video, fresh out of the conservatorship and getting beat to to gods by Jeffree Star? If only he hadn’t been so problematic.
That’s not to say Britney wouldn’t be open to doing other collabs with other makeup youtubers… who knows? Stay tuned!!!
