Sister Wives cast member, Christine Brown recently announced that she was leaving her husband, Kody Brown. Fans of the TLC show were shocked and confused because we all thought that Meri Brown would be the first to jump ship. When Christine sat down with People magazine, she opened up more about what things have been like and how she always felt that she was in a sad marriage.

    Sister Wives: The New Season

Now that we know more about Kody and Christine‘s marriage, the new season is going to be quite interesting for us as we watch. Will their marriage take center stage during the season or will it continue to be stagnant like last season? In the newest trailer for the show, the family will all get together and talk about the land at Coyote Pass. Kody has been struggling to figure out what they are going to do with the land, but the wives all have different opinions on it.

Sister Wives: Christine Brown Calls Marriage Sad

Christine wants the whole family to move back to Utah, but Kody likes being in Arizona for the time being. He bought the land with a purpose and is hopeful still that his wives will make the best of it. In one scene, Robyn Brown opens up about how Christine looks. “Christine is upset. I understand it. It’s scary, it’s been absolutely scary, what our family culture is looking like because we are not spending time together.” It is clear that the wives haven’t been themselves since the pandemic broke out, but it doesn’t look like things are getting any better.

Janelle Brown then adds in, “I don’t know that this is something that fixes itself right away so don’t be thinking it’s all gone and it’s all put to bed or whatever. I want to honor where you are.” Kody then adds, “We have to get all the property boundaries figured out though, that we have to do because we have to be able to move on that. We don’t want to wait any longer.”

After a big chat, Christine finally adds, “This whole thing is hard, it’s not just about moving back to Utah, it’s not just about that. I’m not going to make any drastic decisions on what I’m going to do next today- I am hurt today.” Christine feels like no one else in the family has ever supported her and she is finally standing up for herself about it.

Christine says in a confessional, “Marriage is hard, but I never wanted the kind of marriage that I have now. I never wanted to be so estranged and have extremely limited physical contact, not even hand holding. It’s sad, my marriage to Kody is sad.”

The new season of Sister Wives appears on TLC on Sundays at 10 p.m. EST.
