He might be a grandfather on the run, but he will surely take some time ti meet his new granddaughter first. There are new reports that say Prince Andrew has finally met his granddaughter one week after she was born. His daughter Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first born Sienna Elizabeth last week.
But because Andy was in hiding up in Balmoral, as he was trying to avoid getting served by Virginia Giuffre’s lawyers, he finally made his way to London to meet the newest member of the royal family. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Andrew Finally Meets His Granddaughter
According to reports, Beatrice and Edo introduced little Sienna to her grandfather at Windsor this past week. One source close to the situation tells The Sun: “It is quite something that he had to wait almost two weeks before he met her. He is very much aware Beatrice’s special moment was ruined by the accusations against him.”
Following the birth of their daughter, the couple released a statement that said: “The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”
The baby, who will be 11th in line to the throne, is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild and the fourth royal baby born this year. Beatrice’s younger sister, Eugenie, gave birth to a baby boy, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in February.
So far Princess Beatrice and Edo have not released a photo of their child to the public.
