It’s without a doubt that Prince Andrew has put the royal family so much in a pickle that they don’t know what to even do with him anymore. Yet, there’s speculation that the Duke of York might finally get stripped of all his patronages now that Virginia Giuffre has filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual assault. Royal reporter Richard Palmer suggested on Twitter that Prince Andrew is close to losing all of his patronages. He wrote, “It was my understanding earlier this week that Prince Andrew would lose all of his patronages eventually but the wheels often turn slowly at the palace. Allowing Andrew to keep patronages after refusing to cooperate with legal inquiries would risk serious damage to the monarchy.”’

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for his followers to comment on the matter. Many of them said, “If Andrew loves his mother he should give up his patronages, he shouldn’t force her to take that decision. Why would he even want to be a patron over people who doesn’t want him.
This is only hurting his mother,” along with, “Who would actually want him as a Patron now anyway? Arrogance and nonchalance isn’t cutting it anymore, really succoring the goodwill of the Sovereign, no one respects him.”
Another critic wrote, “I don’t understand the hesitation. If PH was stripped of his titles for leaving royal duty, isn’t PA being fired from his? Why the difference in treatment? Because one chose to set up home overseas while the other still sits in Mummy’s lap?”
Earlier this month Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court, stating that Prince Andrew repeatedly sexually assaulted her when she was 17. According to ITV News, lawyers for Giuffre say they believe Prince Andrew will end up in court after their client filed a lawsuit on Monday against the royal. In the lawsuit, brought under the Child Victims Act, Giuffre claims the prince sexually abused her on multiple occasions.
