All Kate Middleton wants these days is peace for her family, but she’s having a hard time getting it. In fact, there are reports that suggest the Duchess of Cambridge is feeling none too pleased about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans for their daughter Lilibet’s christening. That’s because it doesn’t include any of the British Royal Family members, except Queen Elizabeth. Here’s what you need to know.
Even though things have been rather icey between the Sussexes and the Cambridges for quite some time, Kate Middleton has been doing her best to mend things between the two families.
While it doesn’t look like her husband Prince William will be extending an olive branch any time soon, Kate has been making an effort to reach out to the Sussexes. In fact, one report said that she gifts to baby Lilibet after she was born, along with a handwritten note for her parents, Harry and Meghan.

Despite her efforts though, it doesn’t appear as though the Duchess of Cambridge is invited to Lilibet’s christening. According to the Daily Star, one source close to the situation put it this way, “Kate’s been trying so hard to mend fences between William and Harry, if only for Archie, Lili and the Cambridge kids’ sakes. Now she’s been blacklisted from one of the most formative family events in a child’s life. She’s devasted.”
With that said though, Kate is still trying to reach out to Meghan via text message. Another tipster told Us Weekly: “Tensions have eased between Meghan and Kate. Kate even sent Meghan a gift for the baby. They’re in a better place and have exchanged texts since the birth of Lilibet.”
So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle have made any comments about their future plans for Lilibet’s christening.
