‘Vanderpump Rules’ find that even though Jax Taylor *decided to not join the show* for season 9, it doesn’t mean he’ll just fade into silence.
Now that the media sheen has worn off of his newborn son, Cruz, Jax is at it again, now sounding off at the show that made him famous. Recent Jax called out Vanderpump Rules for being ‘too scripted’ and claims that he ‘couldn’t do it’.
Is anyone surprised Jax would rather leave a show than have to shut his mouth and do as producers say? Anyone? No…didn’t think so.
‘Vanderpump Rules’: Jax Taylor Tries to Stay in the Spotlight By Turning Against the Show
Speaking with US Magazine, the Bravolebrity said “I was 100 percent checked out at the end. It was getting a little bit too scripted for me and I just couldn’t do it anymore”. He also asserted, “There’s no way we could have done this with a kid.”
This is quite the turn around from season eight’s finale when he argued with the show’s namesake and his Sur boss, Lisa Vanderpump, calling Vanderpump Rules “his show”.
In fact, it’s still being debated as to whether Jax and his wife, Brittany Cartwright made the decision to leave the show or if Jax was fired when Bravo cleaned house during the show’s hiatus.
Jax is sticking firmly to the party line that the new parents left on their own accord (which Brittany likely did in solidarity), now saying he was “very irritable on the show” because “it wasn’t fun.”
Honestly, after watching Jax get arrested in Hawaii for stealing sunglasses, cheat on every one of his girlfriends including now wife, Brittany–who heard his post coital pillow talk with Faith Stowers on a phone recording, and spreading countless rumors, including one about Brittany hooking up with Kristin Doute (just because you hooked up with Kristen, Jax doesn’t mean Brittany did), its hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.
‘Vanderpump Rules’: But…the man does make for good T.V.
Jax went on to tell US Magazine that while he is sad to miss out on events with his friends who are still on the show (and the paycheck and the (fame), he “doesn’t miss” the show itself.
Now the 41-year-old claims to be sitting back and taking time time to decide this next move, however, it has been reported that the Taylor-Cartwrights are shopping a new reality series with Jax saying “I want to it be more comedy, family-oriented. I’m really done with the drama and the arguing with people half my age.”
While it won’t be a big shock if we do see Jax resurface on our screens one day, we will be seeing favorites like Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz and of course, Lisa Vanderpump when season 9 of Vanderpump Rules returns…soon.
