‘Vanderpump Rules’: Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright Open Up On How Their Son Would Feel Watching His Parents On TV

The former stars of Vanderpump Rules recently left the TV show after eight seasons. And following their exits, the couple maintained that they did it for the sake of their family. While Cruz is only a baby, it would be interesting to see what he would say about his parents’ time on the show. In an interview with Us Weekly, Jax joked about how Cruz would disapprove of his father.

He said: “I don’t think we’re going to have a choice [whether he watches it or not] because of the internet. He’s not going to be a huge fan of me.” This falls in line with their recent comments. The couple had confirmed that the show was becoming increasingly scripted. While that may draw in the viewers, it does take away from the spirit of the show.

With a newborn having arrived, the couple did not want to add further scrutiny into their lives. Brittany stated: “[Having a baby] kind of changes your perspective on how much you want to put out there.” And yet, that has not stopped the show’s other stars from opening up to the cameras. Lala Kent and Scheana Shay, both of whom have recently given birth, have not been shy in exposing their kids to the media.

However, Jax sees things differently. He stated: “It’s also not fair to my child to put him on a show that he didn’t ask to be on.” So how will the couple go out of their way to protect Cruz from any controversy? Well, Brittany promised to control what her son will be exposed to. That is going to be difficult, especially since he will grow up alongside Lala and Scheana’s kids.

That has not stopped Brittany from coming up with a novel plan, though. She revealed: “We’ll guard him from some of those episodes. We’ll let him watch the wedding when we first met when I was first brought on the show. Stuff like that.” Time will tell exactly what Cruz thinks.
