On the Discovery+ series, Pig Royalty, we got to see the Rihne family, and their proteges, the Tyk’s who have just joined their show team come up together preparing for a big show. The Rihnes are the significantly less catty family show team that have taken the Tyk’s under their wing.
The Tyks had an ultra-promising show pig prospect named Notorious P.I.G., yes, after the late Rapper. It looks like ‘Notorious’ as he’s called, is still just a youngster (if we’re going by size comparison, some of the pigs they were showing were huge compared to this guy) and you know what youngsters have a habit of doing right before something important goes down, right? (All you parents will know this one well.)

They get sick, and Notorious was no different. Fortunately, the Tyks knew what to do and started treating him the second he got sick. Though, some of the youngsters were reluctant to hang around once the medical treatment started.
(Not gonna lie, sticking a thermometer where the sun don’t shine on a pig would not be the way I’d want to start my morning either, but, when one has animals one has to treat them.) The thing is, no matter what the Tyk’s did, Notorious didn’t get better in time for the show, he was too sick.
Unfortunately, the Tyk family was counting on Jodi Rihn, their mentor to come through for them and provide them with a back-up pig. However, that didn’t happen and both Moms of the Tyk clan reamed Jodi for all she was worth outside the show.
The Tyks had depended on her to take care of them and Jodi hung them out to dry, the Tyk family complained that they didn’t feel like part of a team. However Jodi said that they were blaming her for things that she couldn’t help.
True, it was no fault of hers that Notorious got sick, but they were trying to contact her for days before the show to ask her about what to do and she didn’t provide. We kind of wonder how this partnership will end. Stay tuned!!!
