Jennifer Lopez has not let her split from Alex Rodriguez dent any further relationships, as he wished Alex’s daughter Ella a happy birthday.

The couple parted ways when it seemed that they were on course to get married. But after a period of soul searching, they decided it would work out better if they remained friends. And Jennifer has lived up to those words by staying close to Ella. In a post to her fans on Instagram, we can see a picture of Jennifer with Ella as a young child.
The picture was captioned by the following comments: “Happy birthday Ella Bella. 13. Wow. That number has meant a lot to me over the years, but today, it’s even more special than ever. I just can’t believe my Ella Bella turns 13 today. My baby girl is officially a teenager!!” It is easy to understand why Jennifer and Ella have a close bond. Ella had reportedly been very upset upon the news that Jennifer and Alex were parting ways.
She was worried that Jennifer’s role in her life might have gradually been reduced. And yet, it has been anything but that. She added: “Ella — every day, you amaze me more than I could have ever imagined. You are smart, mature, talented, caring and funny. I am so proud of the young woman you are becoming and so lucky and grateful to be your dad. I love you so much. Happy magical 13th birthday, sweetheart!”
Their split was even more difficult because of the strong ties that Alex’s kids had with Jennifer. However, the constant rumours of Alex’s infidelity (notably with Madison LeCroy) no longer made the relationship tenable. On top of that, Jennifer was very vocal about the marriage counselling that she was undertaking. Sadly, though, it was not enough to stay together for the sake of the kids.
A source said: “A-Rod’s girls and J. Lo’s kids are really close, so the reason why they stayed together for as long as they did was to make their kids happy. They still have love for each other that I think will never go away.” It is nice to see Jennifer still playing a part in Ella’s life.
