There are new reports that suggest palace insiders say Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unwillingness to call Kate Middleton ‘Catherine,’ which is her royal name, might have led to one royal fight after another behind closed palace doors. While no one knows exactly what led to all of the feuding between the Cambridges and the Sussexes, there have been some suggestions made that jealousy might have played a huge part in their fallout.

That, and no one seemed to know where their place was within the royal family. According to the Daily Mail, royal insiders say that Harry and Meghan’s blatant disrespect for Kate Middleton is what might have started a royal firestorm behind the scenes.
One tipster put it this way, “In another sign of the fractured relationship with William’s wife, she and Harry pointedly did not once refer to the Duchess of Cambridge as Catherine, the name the Royal Family use for Kate.”
If that weren’t enough, it was also pointed out that Harry and Meghan supposedly acted like top tier royals, when in fact it’s Prince William who is the future King of England and his wife, the Queen.
One source put it this way, “Harry, of course, is not heir to the throne and Meghan is no Mrs Simpson. But there are uneasy similarities between Meghan’s and Kate’s frosty relationship and that of Wallis and the then Duchess of York, who later became Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Is history about to repeat itself? Certainly, friends of Kate believe she has been ‘thrown under a bus’ by Meghan’s incendiary interview. But she is resilient; Middleton family blood has seen to that.”
During their tell-all special with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan also opened up about racism within the royal family and in the UK and how there were ‘concerns’ over how dark Archie’s skin would be while Meghan was still pregnant back in 2018. Buckingham Palace released a statement that said these matters will be investigated privately.
