‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers reveal we’ve seen a softer side of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) lately. This is evidenced by what he recently did for Phillip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). But we can’t help wondering if this act of fatherly love will come back to haunt him. Let’s take a look at why we think he made the wrong move.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: I’m home…
So, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Philip Kiriakis returned to town this past year. And he was determined to take his rightful place in the family and Titan. From the beginning, we had weird vibes off him. He seemed like he was hiding something, and it soon turned out to be the case. He started having secret phone calls with a mystery person. She turned out to be Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). And the whole situation wasn’t as innocent as he’d led dad to believe.
Really, he wanted back in Titan because he’s got an addiction. His gambling debts soared, and the Vitali family wanted him to pay up. So, they agreed to let him off the hook if he laundered their money through Titan. Of course, with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) learning the truth, and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) learning it with Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) help, the whole truth came out. But not before Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) took a bullet. This leads us to wonder what Victor is thinking.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Resentment
We’re gonna say flat-out that we’re Team Xander. Despite the fact Philip’s problem nearly killed Brady, he seems to be getting off scott-free. Victor even went to the Vitalis and worked things out with them on Philip’s behalf. What did Philip get for all this, plus nearly putting the family business at risk with this criminal activity? He got to be Co-CEO still. Seriously.
We don’t blame Xander for being angry at this, or for saying he quits. Xander has been there for Victor in huge ways since and before the time jump. He’s earned Victor’s respect and loyalty. And Xander has had to really work for that over the years. Meanwhile, Philip is basically getting a free pass. It’s insulting, really. And a bad decision overall.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Risky proposition
We think Titan is going to be in serious trouble with him at the helm. Victor better hope he orders Philip into treatment to keep this job, because addiction’s a nasty thing. So many people fall into horrible situations over and over again, yet refuse to learn or change. What’s to say Philip won’t do something like this again? It’s just not advisable to trust him right now.
Especially if any of this comes out in the press. DiMera will pounce, and what’s Victor going to say? “No worries, I paid off the mobsters, so no more laundering here’? He’ll be eaten alive, and Titan along with him.
