Brandan and Mary both shared a post about how she was diagnosed with colon cancer and her doctors told her that she needed surgery in order to remove it.
Mary mentioned that she had been dealing with this since she was in high school. With all of this news, their fans were shocked to see that there was already an update on Mary’s condition.
Brandan shared on his Instagram Story that there was an update on Mary’s health. He shared a picture of Mary in a hospital bed with a mask on.
He captioned the picture, “Mary’s been dealing with abdominal pain, vomiting, and always having fever since before. You can’t just notice it because she’s always happy and energetic in the videos. She’s doing a lot of work in the videos to make sure she can make enough money for Midnight and her family. Also Mary won’t go to the doctor before for check ups because she’s so scared to know what’s going on in her stomach/health. She’s scared of bloods and surgeries. So to those people who bash us, just continue being like that and God will handle you.”
Brandan also told his fans that she had been admitted for surgery and that she was hopeful about what would be next for her.

It didn’t take long for Redditors to give Mary and Brandan even more hate when this post hit the site. Of course, most Redditors felt like Mary is the one writing Brandan’s posts because the English used isn’t like his at all. English is his first language, but these posts are written more like her.
One Redditor wrote, “Mary is 100% writing these grifting attempts.” Another pointed out that even though Brandan mentioned that she was losing a lot of weight, he also told followers that she was still smiling and that was one of the only things that mattered.
They added, “It’s such a relief knowing he’s not worried too much with her surgery despite the fact that she lost weight. He really loves those smiles!”
There were also some Redditors who chimed in that they thought healthcare was free in the Philippines and they were unsure that donating to her fundraiser would actually go to her health.
