It didn’t take long for Mary to take the time to share her thoughts on the pet situation. Their followers recently saw that they have a monkey as a pet. Not only are they using the monkey to keep them company, but they had it chained up as well.
Redditors were the first to point out what they saw and they made some comments that weren’t exactly kind.

One Redditor shared the newly updated post from Mary and it read, “We have set the monkey free before. But people here are scared of the monkey and threatened to kill it so we put her back on a chain to keep her safe. Thanks for your support.”
As soon as this post went up, fans of the show were quick to share their opinions on what these two are doing with a monkey. One wrote, “This is why people shouldn’t have wild animals as pets no matter where you live.” Another wrote, “It is hard to believe that their only option is chaining the monkey up. This is unreal.”
The comments just kept coming in too. Another Redditor added, “They could train the monkey to eat the spiders in her house! Mary could teach it to knock game controllers out of Brandan’s hands. Just make it a house pet. Monkeys are good learners, they have nothing else to do, train your monkey!”

Mary and Brandan have gotten a lot of backlash ever since they were introduced onto the show. These two have been seen in quite a toxic relationship too.
