’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds there has been a rumor circulating online that Angela Deem Illesanmi’s plastic surgeon, also the famed surgeon that helped out Gorilla Glue Girl (yes, the famed one from tiktok), Dr. Michael Obeng was arrested in Ghana for practicing without a license.
It was a huge medical sting operation in which 6 fake doctors and dentists were arrested for practicing without licenses according to the MDC, which is the council that oversees all things medical in Ghana. It’s scary to think about that someone could get away with practicing medicine without a license but you have to worry, did Angela’s surgery come from a doctor who didn’t have a medical license?

Fortunately for her, the answer is no. That Dr. Michael Obeng, at least the one currently residing in the United States and currently practicing in LA, has never been arrested in Ghana, and according to the man himself has all proper documentation when it comes to his license.
That’s a good thing, although one kind of wonders with all the other shady things TLC does if they wouldn’t try to cut a few corners with a not-so-licensed doctor, however that would be grounds for a legit bankrupting lawsuit and no one at TLC, not even the shadiest of producers, wants to deal with that.
However that is not to say that a Dr. Obeng practicing in Ghana didn’t get arrested, it’s just not the one that we know from TLC because his records have proven otherwise. However, in Dr. Obeng’s defense, identity theft happens all the time, even to the best of us.
The theory is since Dr. Obeng is international and probably splits his time between the US and African continents then somewhere between here and international waters there could have been an incident in which Dr. Obeng’s identity was stolen and used for nefarious purposes.
Now, that is just speculation there is no proof that that actually happened, there is proof however that there was no arrest of Dr. Obeng in Ghana however, that was just a theory on how a rumor could get started. That’s the way the rumor mill works, folks. Stay tuned!!!
