In the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé, we saw a lot of issues with the couples and things are really starting to come crashing down for some of the couples. Shaaeda Sween and Bilal Hazziez have started to really see their true colors. In the new episode, Bilal has the kids for the weekend and his daughter stays with Shaaeda and his son goes to play basketball with him. His daughter asks Shaaeda to teach her how to make food from Trinidad.
90 Day Fiancé: The Awkward Moments
As Shaaeda is teaching Bilal’s daughter how to cook curry, they start talking about her parents’ relationship. Shaaeda asks his daughter about what she does to help around the house and she tells her that she really likes to cook breakfast food and she is terrific at making omelets. Shaaeda thinks that this cooking lesson will help Bilal see that she is good at being a mother to his children.
90 Day Fiancé: Shaaeda Sween Wants to Connect with Bilal Hazziez’s Children
The awkward moments begin when Shaaeda tells his daughter that they have to “wash the chicken like she washes her lady parts.” His daughter tells the cameras that there were a lot of things that she said that were awkward to her. She would just look at her and didn’t know what to say to her.
The girls bond over the fact that they are both messy and Bilal is really tidy and has OCDs about the house. They seem to be getting along really well until Shaaeda brings up the fact that she doesn’t want the kids to call her by her first name.
She tells her that she knows it’s not disrespectful in her culture but she was hoping that they could come up with another name for her. Shaaeda continued to push the subject of them calling her “umi”, which means “mother.” His daughter still doesn’t seem to want to call her that though. She even mentioned that they call their stepdad by his first name. She doesn’t want this to move too fast because they are still getting used to her and they don’t know her that well yet. Shaaeda tells her that she understands that there are a lot of cultural differences.
Shaaeda feels that she needs to take baby steps when it comes to Bilal’s kids. She knows it will take time to earn their trust and hopes that this meal preparation didn’t cause a rift in her relationship with his daughter.
