’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells us that it’s the day of Julia Trubkina Gibb’s greencard interview and she informs us of a Russian tradition that happens before anyone leaves to go anywhere, apparently, you are supposed to sit before you go anywhere, not for very long, she said it only lasts for 5 seconds but normally it’s just sitting and thinking, mostly to see if you have forgotten anything.
I think with all of the documents that she and hubby Brandon Gibb had to remember to grab on the way to the interview, this little tradition could possibly be a good thing. This tradition is meant for long journeys (I’m assuming the trip was going to be long) and a variation of this is where the traveler sits either beside or on their actual suitcase in order to reflect on his, her or in this case their journey.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Sit before you go
Brandon mentioned that they had bring any sort of documentation proving that Julia had lived at that address (which as far as we know is nothing but the envelope where they requested that she come in for an interview), and other things to prove that they’re married.
The thing is, we’re just hoping for Julia’s sake that they take into account that COVID-19 made circumstances horrible for everyone and that in this case they may just have to go by their marriage certificate alone. Again, what did they expect Julia to do? Sign up for magazine subscriptions? With what money? In-laws Ron and Betty Gibb are paying all the bills technically so there’s no way she could have anything in her name right now.
Of course the talk in the car up until they got to the place was what if she didn’t get accepted into the US and that’s a very real possibility, even though it’s a pandemic and things aren’t normal for anybody right now. I hope they don’t judge Julia unfairly because she really hasn’t gotten a fair shake at being in the country yet, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, Julia was not approved for the Green Card, but the officer at the consulate did say that it was approvable, but that in two weeks they would either get an approval letter or a request for more documentation, and poor Julia is on pins and needles now. She said that it may be two weeks before she has to go back to Russia, however, I don’t quite think that’s true. Stay tuned!!!
