If you followed season three of 90 Day Fiancé, you may remember Benjamin Taylor and Akinyi Obal. They were a fan favorite pretty much from the beginning and we really wanted to see them make it to marriage.
They had a lot of ups and downs and many of us thought that their relationship wasn’t going to last. Obal didn’t know if she was ready to be a stepmother to his children and this had a lot of impact on their relationship. Recently, they took to social media to share some of their lives today.
’90 Day Fiancé’: Postponing the Wedding
COVID made a lot of changes in all of our lives and Ben and Akinyi are no different. They had planned on getting married last year, but the date got pushed because of the pandemic. The couple didn’t seem too upset about it and some fans think that they really needed the time to think things over again.
We saw them on 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined and she told cameras, “I feel like Benjamin is rushing with the marriage. I want to wait the full 90 days to get married because I don’t know what kind of life I’m going to have in the United States. I want to learn different things and get comfortable, and he’s rushing me when I feel like I don’t want to be rushed.”
In her most recent photo, Akinyi posted a picture on Facebook and it was of the couple and his son at the Phoenix Zoo. The couple talked about how much they love their weekends together and it seems as if Akinyi has taken on the role of stepmother really easily and it fits her so well. It does seem that Ben’s son, Taylor really enjoys spending time with her as well.
We are very happy to see this couple still enjoying their life together. Her Facebook account is full of pictures of the couple hugging and with his son. Akinyi and Ben’s relationship continues to grow stronger and we are happy to see them still together. You can follow them on Facebook as well!
