‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could have his pick of any number of women. However, a few women have stayed steady in his orbit for some time.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Recently Divorced Nina
While his marriage to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may be over, will she be out of his life? Nina no doubt brought out a softer side of Sonny. “Mike” may have been a part of Sonny, but he never explored it until he was with Nina.
However, many fans couldn’t stomach the Nixon Falls storyline, which could explain why the character of Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) was never really heard from again once Sonny came home, even though he went to the trouble to purchase Charlie’s Pub for her.
Nina lied and schemed throughout their relationship, and the final straw was when Sonny discovered that she had turned his ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), into the SEC.
From that moment forward, the marriage was over. Despite Nina’s failed attempts to win back her husband, he asked her for a divorce.
Then there’s Ava Jerome (Maura West), who is keeping the knowledge that Sonny’s bipolar medicine has been tampered with to herself. There was some dangerous flirtation and a forbidden kiss between them, but it didn’t go anywhere.
Ava may have briefly tempted him, and the two share a daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava Scarola), but that is likely where it ends. Not to mention, Ava is toxic.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny And Carly Are Endgame
Natalia Rogers Rameriez (Eva LaRue) is the new lady on Sonny’s arm. She has a certain exotic charm, much like Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) had, but also like Brenda, Natalia may not have what it takes to accept Sonny’s business.
She also seems a little tightly wound when it comes to her daughter, Blaze (Aka Allison Rogers, played by Jacquline Grace Lopez).
Natalia may be too much of a stage mom and clearly has difficulty with Blaze’s relationship with Sonny’s daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). Her attitude and controlling nature over Blaze may not fly with the mafia boss.
In the end, Sonny’s soulmate is Carly Spencer. Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are their children. Carly also understands Sonny’s mob world better than any other woman.
The two have impeccable chemistry and an unbreakable bond. They have been married five times (so far), and there is always a chance that CarSon could reunite. Their fans have been waiting for them to realize they still love each other.
Sonny’s current storyline could be the perfect way to reunite the couple. He’s not on the correct dose of medicine, and Carly could uncover the truth about Valentin Cassadine‘s (James Patrick Stuart) evil plot. She’s already circling Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure).
It’s conceivable that she could either figure it out or overhear a conversation that reveals Valentin’s dirty deeds. And Ava is going down with him.
Of all people, Carly is the one person who can bring him back from the brink of darkness. As much as Sonny and Carly say they have moved on, their love story will never end.
