‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Natalia Rogers-Ramirez (Eva LaRue) better watch her back. The minute Natalia walked into Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse, daggers were thrown at her. The daggers were in the form of the “evil eye,” courtesy of Ava Jerome (Maura West).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Sees Natalia As Her Competition
If looks could kill, Natalia would have dropped dead right then and there. Ava has been on top of the world for a long time. She has been living with Sonny and their daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Scarlett Spears).
In Ava’s mind, they were a “happy little family.” It was unclear until now whether Ava’s main motive was a well-constructed power play to be business partners with Sonny in the mob or if she really had fallen in love with him.
But when Natalia waltzed in, it was evident from the look on her face that Ava knew she had real competition for Sonny’s heart.
When Sonny asked Ava to pour him and Natalia a drink, she poured one for herself and proceeded to follow the two out to the veranda.
As Sonny was trying to be a “smooth operator,” Ava was all up in his grill, and Sonny let her know that he wanted to talk to Natalia alone.
Just when it looked like Ava couldn’t possibly be more insulted, she overheard Sonny say, “It isn’t like that with Ava” to Natalia.
Sonny’s growing interest in Natalia, coupled with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) on the verge of figuring out what’s going on with Sonny’s bipolar medicine, means that time is running out for Ava.
We know the martini -sipping lush all too well. She will use her considerable manipulative tactics to sabotage Sonny’s budding romance with Natalia.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Will Try To Intimidate Natalia
Ava may pull something on Natalia like what she pulled on Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) when Silas Clay (Michael Easton) was interested in the pretty private investigator.
She may warn Natalia about Sonny and try to scare her. She may suggest to Natalia that Sonny’s lifestyle and business may be too hot for her to handle.
Ava will likely infer that Sonny is not only a reputable coffee importer. He is also involved in illegal activities, and she may want to think twice before getting involved with him.
Oh, and she could also casually mention that those who get too close to Sonny sometimes end up getting shot at. And she could bring up what happened in Puerto Rico.
That may be enough to scare her away, but if not, Ava may remind Sonny why she is the only one he has confidence in at the moment.
She could even go as far as to search for the truth regarding Sonny’s medicine. Ave could discover Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) role in it.
Coming clean to Sonny may sway him in her favor. As long as he doesn’t find out that she knew that his pills weren’t the correct dose all along, Ava could win him over that way.
Maybe a good old-fashioned catfight could be in order if all else fails. As a former lady gangsta, Ava would not back down from a brawl.
We wonder how Ava will handle Natalia. If history proves anything, Ava won’t stand for being second choice.
