‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) recently received encouragement from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as he struggled with misgivings about being a father.
Now that Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) doctors have identified his parents as a possible cause of his OCD, Adam feels like a bad father. Adam even implied that perhaps he wasn’t the right kind of parent and that Connor might be better off without him.
Sally reassured Adam, nevertheless, that he was intended to be a father and that everyone was aware of his love for Connor. More baby trouble may be on the horizon because Adam’s current plot centers on his worries that he’s messed up his son.
It makes sense to offer Adam the thing he fears most as he feels that it would have been better if he had never been a father. Nothing, or at least a near miss, would terrify Adam more than Sally’s pregnancy.

Though it goes without saying that Sally has previously experienced an unanticipated pregnancy, it doesn’t imply she can’t have another one. Birth control may be readily abused when the story demands it, as everyone knows, and soap opera ladies are incredibly prolific.
And if Sally finds out she’s running late, what then? Given their past, should Sally be more forthright, or could she obtain a pregnancy test behind Adam’s back?
As Sally and Adam having previously experienced the death of tiny Ava Spectra, it would be wise for Sally to be open and honest about any further pregnancy worry.
If so, Adam could get irrationally agitated at the prospect of upsetting a further Newman kid. On the other side, Sally may choose not to put Adam through unnecessary stress.
Before informing Adam of any changes, Sally might want to take a pregnancy test and determine if the results are positive or negative. This narrative might work better right now if Sally’s pregnancy scare—even if it turns out to be a false alarm, fits with Daddy Adam’s current state of anxiety.
