Brian Laundrie‘s notebook confession is now public showing his handwritten reasoning for murdering Gabby Petito. In an 8-page confession obtained by Fox News, Laundrie admits to killing her but claims he did it after Gabby was injured while they were hiking.

In the notes, Brian wrote that he thought it was, “merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.” He also admitted to taking his own life after killing her saying that he would never be able to go on without her.

The notebook was picked up with the rest of his items in Florida’s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park by FBI back in October. The journal suffered some damage, though his writing is still legible even after being underwater for nearly 5 weeks.

Brian details her injury, how he carried her back as far as he could as she was freezing and starting a fire to try to keep her warm. He claims she had hurt her head and would violently shake in pain and beg for the pain to stop. This is where he claims it was at her mercy. “I ended her life, I thought it was merciful…”

The pages detailing the events are horrific and many still wonder if it was the full truth or if Brian tried to make himself look in a better light by claiming it was “merciful.”

Brian even apologized to Gabby in the journal saying, “They lost a son and a daughter. The most wonderful girl in the world. Gabby I’m sorry.”

The events are already being made into a television film strangely enough, and we think it’s far too soon to be telling this story.

What do you think? Should this be a film already or should they have let Gabby rest peacefully longer before creating it? Let us know in the comments below.
