‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) nearly missed the call to return to the show! In an interview with TVInsider, Walters revealed that a missed call from executive producer Anthony Morina could have prevented her from coming back.
She missed the phone call and was listening to the voice mail, however, the voice mispronounced some of the words and made Y&R sound like ‘Wine Art’. Listen to what she had to say about the message below,
“It came as a surprise. You know how voice texts can mispronounce words? I got one that said ‘Hey, this is Tony Morina from’ ‘Wine Art’ – No’ ‘Y&R.’ I didn’t pay much attention to it as Tony wasn’t there 20 years ago when I joined, but we had met since. At first, I ignored it, but then I listened to that message. I told Tony later’ ‘What if I hadn’t listened to that message’!’ He said’ ‘Well, we would have reached out to you again.”
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Susan Walters Almost Missed The Call To Return As Diane Jenkins!
However, she did listen to the message again and the rest seems to be history. We suspect it must have been a bit of a strange call… After all, the character of Diane Jenkins was murdered back in 2011. So, how did she come back? As it turns out there was a fake body and she decided to use the moment to slip away.
Now though, she’s back in Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) life and trying to reconnect with her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). With news of Mealor agreeing to a new contract with Y&R, it looks like we will be seeing a mother/son reunion, though it may not be the happiest.
