According to reports, former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez rammed his truck into the car of a man accused of molesting his family member. Then fired multiple shots into the man’s vehicle which ended up striking the molester’s stepfather.
Officials say that Velasquez followed the 43-year-old man named Harry Goularte who was recently charged with 1 felony count of a lewd and lascivious act for molesting Velasquez’s ‘close relative’. Goularte was released, however, and this did not sit well for Cain.

Velasquez drove his black Ford F-250 into Goularte’s car and when cops were called, he allegedly left the scene. Soon after cops located Cain on the road, pulled him over, and took him into custody with no issues.
Police found a 40-caliber semi-automatic handgun in Cain’s truck and also noted that they found two 10-bullet magazines in the vehicle, nothing that 8 total bullets were missing.
Cain has been hit with 10 charges including 1st degree attempted murder, multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon and shooting an occupied motor vehicle. If he is convicted, Velasquez could face multiple decades in prison. However, the circumstances surrounding the case make it unique and certain aspects of the nature of it could be called into question, such as why he was there in the first place and why in the world Goularte was released.
Goularte just faced a judge last week for his charge but for some reason was allowed to leave jail on a supervised release, despite the terrible allegations against him. I think we can all understand the anger that went through Cain and while vigilante justice may have not been the answer, there was definitely someone who messed up in the court.
