Turns out, he almost considered training in MMA before he made his career in the WWE.
He was considering going to Japan to train as a fighter however he quickly realized how much he hated getting punched for real. Take a look at this post below where he detailed by he decided to pursue his career in the WWE.
“After last nights big @projectrock footwear 👟 debut at #UFC270🔥🔥
It’s been fun for journalist to dream up the scenarios if I had competed in @UFC instead of a career in @WWE.
There was a point in 1997 when I seriously considered going to Japan to train as an MMA fighter and compete (in PRIDE) when my wrestling career was FAILING MISERABLY as “Rocky Maivia” 👎🏾
But I realized very quickly, how much I actually hate being punched in the kisser.
🤜🏾🥴🤣”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Reveals Why He Didn’t Compete In The UFC
A fan commented on the post, “I had no idea you considered becoming an MMA fighter 🙌 Either way, you would have crushed it and succeeded as with everything you do💪”.
It definitely would have been a completely different world if he had pursued a fight career, and perhaps not a very successful one!
