On the newest episode of Say Yes To the Dress, a new bride to be is really looking for the perfect gown that best described her and her fiance’s love.
The bride was going for the “goth princess fantasy” wedding dress and she needed a lot of help and guidance. Alex, who is a gorgeous redhead, wanted a gown that not only compliments her style, but her hair as well. She has a budget of $3,000 that she can spend on the gown, but she has found that it is hard to find just the right dress.
Say Yes To The Dress: Alex Meets with Krissy
Alex decided to meet up with a bridal stylist named Krissy to see what suggestions she had for Alex. Krissy told her in the trailer, “We can try some different shapes too, especially with the black dress because I have something in mind that’s super dramatic. But when you put it on, you’ll know immediately if that’s the route you want to go.” Alex really is looking for a very specific gown and she is not quite sure if Krissy will find the one for her.
Say Yes To The Dress: A Goth Style Gown
Krissy tells cameras that when a bride is looking for a black gown, it can be extremely complicated because most gowns are white or off-white. This dress will be difficult to find and with Alex’s strong opinions, she’s not quite sure what to expect.
Krissy ends up picking out a few black gowns from Alex and one of them is very sheer and is beautiful! Krissy says, “She’s either going to really love them, or she’s going to be OK trying some more traditional colors.”
Alex ended up loving the first dress that Krissy finds, but it is really long. Alex says that it makes her really sweaty, but it was also very sparkly. She said, “It’s so sparkly, my eye goes right to it. It’s the most ‘me’ dress that she has pulled out and it’s fulfilling my goth princess fantasies.”
The one thing about the dress though, is that Alex doesn’t quite feel like the bride she wants to be. She feels like a princess, but something feels off about it all.
We will have to watch Say Yes To The Dress to see what happens with this dress. Will Krissy find Alex the dress of her dreams or will she have to try on some traditional colors? We hope that Alex finds the one and we hope that her wedding goes as planned.
