As we all know, in 2020, Jenna Marbles, a legendary comedy YouTuber, took her final bow on all social media. She has not posted anything on youtube since her self-cancellation back in the summer of 2020 when she looked back at her older, more problematic videos and decided that she was not good enough to be on the internet anymore and deleted her entire social media presence… and with that, the world became a lot less funny.
For those unfamiliar with the internet back in the 2010s, Jenna Marbles often posted such videos as “what a girl’s underwear means” or “what a girl’s hair means” and just random humor videos.

While yes, some of them were problematic in hindsight, she never quite took it as far as some YouTubers have (ahem, Shane Dawson) and in the end, she ended up deleting all of the videos that could be deemed as problematic because she didn’t want anyone else to feel hurt by them, a move that we could stand behind… but Jenna took it a step further and decided that she was done posting content… for good.
Her husband, Julien Solemita, is still an active streamer, however, and gives Jenna’s former audience updates on her dogs (Kermit, Peach, Marbles, and the relatively new greyhound that they had adopted), and sometimes the updates extend to how Jenna is doing but mostly, Julien just does his own thing and we can respect that.
However, a couple of days ago, Julien practically broke the internet when he posted a picture of Jenna to his Instagram account. It was just them walking down the street holding hands but it was enough for her followers to know that indeed, Jenna Marbles is still alive and well, and happy… but that she has probably retired from the internet for good, and if that’s what she wants to do, then we’ll respect it.
Though we’re not going to lie, some days we would give anything to have one of Jenna’s old comedy videos back again, we do wonder what her tips for handling quarantine would be. Guess we’ll never know. Stay tuned!!!
