I know what you’re thinking, there’s been a ton of fake-outs, and rumors, and even Shane Dawson himself going on various social media outlets and saying that he’s just waiting for inspiration to hit him so that he can come back, after taking a whole year off the internet after his spectacular 2020 cancellation, the likes of which was only rivaled by Jenna Marbles – who cancelled herself and took herself completely off the internet – for good, even though people weren’t asking for that.
It was different with Shane though, people hated him because he had a hand in the cancellation of someone much younger than him, an at the time 19 year old James Charles, whom we have later found out isn’t the innocent little angel that everyone thought him to be back in 2019… surprise, surprise.
Shane Dawson returns to the internet – officially!
But now after taking time to really consider his next move in life (and to get the heck out of LA, he moved all the way to Colorado), Shane Dawson has finally returned – and this time he’s making a three part series about haunted place in Colorado.
Honestly, yeah that’s pretty safe. Nowhere to be seen are Garret, Drew, and Andrew, his former cameraman, now he has Ryland, Morgan sometimes pops in, and there’s a brand new cameraman, Chris, who seems to be really, really entertained by Shane’s brand of humor, we won’t judge him too much there, there was a time in everyone’s online life in which they laughed at a Shane Dawson joke.
Unlike Jeffee Star, Shane did sit down and address the drama, he said that he had been working through his cancellation with a therapist, and that initially he didn’t think that he would ever come back to the internet because he felt it ruined his life.
Yeah we can see where one would think that. He said that whenever he sees his old clips of the material he used to do when he was in his 20’s, that he feels really disconnected from that version of himself – and that’s valid, because you do a lot of changing and growing in your 20’s.
However he also acknowledged that he can’t act like that person never existed, and that he’s grown and changed since and that he’s actually grateful for his cancellation… well, that’s one way of looking at it. After this, he said that he wasn’t going to talk about his past anymore, because he felt it had already been addressed.
The rest of the video focused on his new series… which was about haunted places in Colorado. It’s a 3 parter, so… guess we’ll see what that brings. Stay tuned!!!
