‘The Bachelorette’ season 17 had a clear winner, and it wasn’t Katie Thurston’s final pick, Blake Moynes.

It was 37 year old widowed father, Michael Allio, winning Bachelor Nation’s hearts with his tragic backstory, good parenting and actual sincerity.

Now the business owner continues to rack up the wins. No, not because he set Twitter ablaze when he went on a pseudo date with The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots, but because Cleveland Magazine has bestowed the honor of being one of the “Most Interesting People of 2022” upon him.

The Akron, Ohio native is the VP of MA Workwear, a master distributor of MASCOT Workwear in North America, based out of his hometown. The father of one is also the founder of the L4 Project in honor of his late wife, Laura.

At only 33 years old, Laura passed away after a two year battle with breast cancer. The L4 Project’s goal is to ensure that those diagnosed with cancer, and their family members, receive the support they need.

Cleveland Magazine has now recognized Michael’s efforts in his personal and professional life by including him as one of 30 of the “Most Interesting People of 2022”. Fellow honorees include Ohio celebs like Olympic gold medal winner for pole vault, Katie Nageotte from Lakewood OH, Jeopardy! Champion from Medina, OH, Matt Amodio, and professional wrestler and Dancing With The Stars season 30 contestant Mike “The Miz” Mizanin from Parma, OH.

Several other entrepreneurs, artists, writers, and activists from the state were also recognized and Allio is humbled to be in such great company.

“Honestly, I’m not qualified to shine most of these people’s shoes… but it goes without saying that I’m honored to be recognized and proud of the work we’ve done to date,” Allio wrote in the caption of his Instagram where he shared the Cleveland Magazine article with fans. “Thank you to everyone that helped me get back on my feet and to those that continue to inspire and support me everyday. This one’s for you Laura.”
