ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Nixon Falls story continues to affect several characters. With Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) going on trial for fraud, we’re sure Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) thought it was going to be the end. Nina would go to jail and his family would get closure. Well, most of the family. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) didn’t seem particularly interested in that. He just wanted to move on. Here’s why that backfired and what we think should happen.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sneaky tactics
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) found out there might have been a thing between Nina and Sonny in Nixon Falls. This was thanks to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). So, gambling for Nina’s freedom, Scott worked it so Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) would be on the stand—and under oath. He used that to force her to break confidence and spill the secret. It secured Nina’s freedom, but at a cost.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Bad reaction
So, Sonny and the rest of the family were obviously in the courtroom. In fact, Sonny had to get back on the stand, thanks to Willow’s testimony. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) did not react well to these revelations and took off. Sonny eventually caught up with her, but she was not having it. Like a dog with a bone, she pressured Sonny to answer if he still has feelings for Nina.
And, given she kicked him out, she obviously didn’t like his answer. We’re also going to take a minute to marvel at the idea she kicked him out of his home. The one his business likely footed most, if not all, the bill for. The rest of the family hasn’t exactly been much better. Michael, in particular punched Scott and accused Nina of tricking Willow into silence so she could have that big bombshell. We can’t, and here’s why.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Move on…
So, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Sonny is now on the outs with Carly and it seems even Michael and the rest of the family are upset with him. In fact, they were going on about how they couldn’t believe Sonny did that to Carly. We think they need to take several seats.
First off, they’re letting themselves be blinded by anger at Nina. If they were using half the intelligence they supposedly possess, they’d notice Nina trying to stop Scott. Not to mention Scott loudly telling Nina to shut up in front of the whole courtroom. So, her trying to use this as a sneaky tactic was a bit out there, in our opinion.
Secondly, there is a stunning level of hypocrisy. Carly fell in love with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) after Sonny supposedly died. They were about to have a real marriage and Sonny had to finally push for answers on their bond. Given Sonny was an amnesiac, we don’t see where his thing with Nina is any different. And Carly is crying for Jason right now, so who needs to deal with unresolved feelings?
Third, considering what Sonny went through and how they were so relieved to find him alive, you’d think they wouldn’t be so fast to condemn him right now. They should understand this is a tricky situation for him mentally and offer some compassion and understanding. We believe Sonny would be better off taking time to himself and leaving them in the cold for a while.
