A couple of days ago, Tati Westbrook AKA Glamlifeguru posted a video on her channel saying that her beauty line, Tati Beauty, which had just launched in 2019, was now permanently closing.
There was even a message on the website posted basically saying “Thanks for the support and all the good memories.” in the video, Westbrook went into the reasons why she would be closing her beauty brand, but one of the reasons that was touched upon was the fact that last year she had had to go through a legal nightmare involving her former business partner, Halo Beauty.

In 2020, there was a lawsuit filed against Tati for millions of dollars by Halo Beauty. This resulted in her selling her home in California and moving to Seattle. In previous videos she had also alluded to some relationship problems that she and her husband were having, she didn’t really ever specify why that was, but we’ll assume that because he was involved in the lawsuit that definitely had something to do with it.
Tati was also almost irreparably involved in the dramageddon/bye sister scandal which resulted in James Charles getting cancelled and Tati taking almost a year long break from the internet and social media.
Originally, the Tati Beauty shut down was framed as something that was due to the pandemic and that it was just something that needed to happen due to COVID, but now we’re seeing that the litigation that Westbrook endured made a bigger impact than she previously let on and that that played a tremendous role in the decision to shut down Tati Beauty for good.
Up until now, Westbrooke really hasn’t discussed details of the case, but we’re assuming that legally she could not discuss things publicly until all the details were ironed out. She didn’t actually say that they were, but we’re assuming that a lawyer somewhere told her that it was okay to let loose on the internet.
She did say that she loved doing Tati Beauty and would not say not to launching other brands in the future, but for now, the only thing she’s interested in doing is continuing her youtube career. Hey, sometimes you just have to go where life takes you. Stay tuned!!!
