Tati Westbrook, the youtuber who is currently embroiled in all kinds of legal drama with Halo Beauty, recently sold her house for $3.8M after only buying it 6 months ago for $3.3M. She made $500,000 more on the house than what it was originally worth, which is kind of amazing in this pandemic.
So, at least now we know that if her beauty empire does go completely under she can always turn to flipping houses instead. In all honesty it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to have a back-up income, you know, just in case everything falls through.

But why did she flip it after just buying it a mere 6 months ago? Well, there’s always the fact that maybe she had a case of buyer’s remorse and thought that the house’s aesthetic didn’t fit her after all. (Although, I don’t see why not, have you seen the place? It’s gorgeous!)
And there’s always the possibility that she just didn’t vibe with the place and found somewhere that she liked better. But then, there’s also the sad possibility that maybe, just maybe, we’re looking at a case of when legal bills don’t pay themselves.
Because they don’t. Seriously.
This big legal battle with Halo Beauty could be eating up all that youtube money that she has made over the years and maybe she needed some quick cash to sustain her in the meantime. There’s no shame in that, sometimes you have to do what you have to do and sometimes that means liquidating a home or two to get things done.
What does this mean for the legal battle? Aside from a change in address, we don’t know. After the last developments there hasn’t really been much said on either side.
Right now, all we know on that front is that they’ve sued one another, and that now Tati has sold her house. Was this solely to finance her lawsuit? Possibly. It’s not like she’s been making any kind of youtube videos for the past few months and she could have been because youtube is literally a work from home job.
But it looks like Tati wanted to move home to Bellevue Washington, where she and her husband own a really expensive condo in the same neighborhood as Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, so… they’ll still be among good company.
