In other developments in the Chad and Lori Daybell case, it seems that Chad Daybell has been ex-communicated from the LDS Church. Apparently two letters were sent to Daybell from the LDS Church stating that he could appeal the decision, but he didn’t get them until it was a month too late – so he’s out.
A friend close to Daybell, Eric Smith, spoke to Court TV about Daybell’s alleged “ministry” and said that he thought that originally, Daybell’s message started out innocently enough, but that he took something that Smith believes to be “more pure” and put a dark twist on it.
Boy howdy, did he! That would be the understatement of the century.
Originally Daybell’s trial was slated to begin November 8th, but has now been pushed back. His partner in crime, wife Lori Daybell, has still not been declared mentally fit to stand trial, even though a clinician at the mental hospital where she’s being housed currently has had her make phonecalls as part of her “homework” to obtain legal counsel from the LDS Church, however the LDS Church legal counsel turned right around and told the prosecutor who in turn informed Lori Vallow Daybell’s attorney that they were in violation of her human rights. It seems that Chad Daybell has not experienced anything of this caliber yet.
Daybell’s teachings were… strange to say the least, it was an odd mixture of LDS Mormon teachings mixed with some weird zombie apocalypse fanfiction, he and Lori were convinced that both of her children got possessed by ‘zombies’ who were essentially demons and the only way to release the souls of the people who had been inhabited by these beings was to kill them.
Apparently exorcism isn’t good enough, they must die, and Lori’s two children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow were the unlucky targets. Eric Smith said that while he didn’t want to judge Daybell, he said that he felt that his actions were motivated by greed, pride, and lust.
You don’t say?
He’s not wrong, it is a little strange that both children would disappear right around the time he married their Mother, Lori Vallow Daybell, and the fact that they were completely unbothered by it really speaks volumes about who they are as people.
It seems that Idaho is not playing around with this case and will be seeking the death penalty against Chad Daybell. We at DSD will keep you updated with all the latest news on this case. Stay tuned!!!
