If you’ve been following the headlines you’ll recognize the name Lori Vallow Daybell, AKA “Cult Mom”, a member of a doomsday mormon sect who is now accused of murdering her children, Ty Lee Ryan and JJ Vallow, and conspiring to murder Tammy Daybell, the wife of her now husband, Chad Daybell.
Lori and Chad were under the impression, due to Chad’s “spiritual gifts” that all three had been posessed by “zombies” and the only way to set their spirits free was to murder them.
Netflix’s True Crime: Lori Vallow Daybell mentally unfit to stand trial?
Now at the behest of Vallow’s council, a mental health evaluation was performed on March 8th (it’s May now) and the results are in, the doctor that evaluated Vallow says that she is not mentally fit to stand trial.
However, anyone that’s been following the case will remember that back before her husband Charles Vallow was murdered, Lori underwent a mental evaluation, one that she drove herself to and apparently passed, so, is she actually unfit to stand trial or is this just some ploy to delay justice for as long as possible? Because that’s what it seems like.
Granted, one could argue that so many deaths, her husband, brother, her two children, would be enough to mentally crack even the strongest of people, but Lori Vallow’s been charged with conspiracy to murder not only her two children, but Daybell’s wife Tammy as well, and now the Arizona prosecutor wants to add a charge for conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Charles Vallow, yes that’s right, they’ve finally put two and two together and realized that Lori probably conspired to kill her late husband, Charles Vallow, with her now late brother, Alex Cox.
Why did she want Charles dead? Because he was possessed by the spirit of Nick Snyder (where on earth do they even get these names?) who was a zombie.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, this is not actual logic, this is psycho logic, if it makes no sense, it’s not supposed to. (If it does start making sense, please seek help.) Obviously, we at DSD are not mental health experts, but logic tells us that this mental evaluation is just the defense’s way of stalling the process. They know that there is no way Lori Vallow Daybell is going to walk free, so they’re grasping at straws and trying to come up with some way to stall for time.
Their recommendation is “treatment” but she passed a mental evaluation before all of this happened, and all the evidence points to conspiracy, including damning text messages between her and Chad Daybell about their family members. So is she actually mentally ill, or just crazy like a fox? Stay tuned!!!
