ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has reasons to be upset right now. After Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) kept his father’s survival from them for so long, how can anyone be anything but furious? Not to mention, revenge-happy. However, we think Michael’s just done something he might ultimately regret.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The golden boy
So, over the few years we’ve been watching this show, we’ve come to learn one thing about the character of Michael. He’s seen as the golden boy, an ethical guy who uses the family company for good causes. As long as we’ve been watching, he’s appeared to have no desire to go into dad’s line of work, either.
Plus, when it came down to it, Michael handed Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) the documents he needed to maybe stake his claim on ELQ. He did it because, as much as he didn’t like Austin’s methods, he knew it would be wrong to not hand them over, making the family look bad in court. However, he just did something really suspect that could bring trouble in more ways than one.Â
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The plan
Essentially, Michael used a political donation for a DA race to look into fraud charges against Nina. It’s slimy, and everything we don’t like about the political world. Plus, this move was no more than a revenge ploy. Michael can dress this up any way he pleases, but this isn’t about what’s right or wrong, and clearly Nina was wrong.
No, this is about making her pay. And this way, he doesn’t directly do anything to keep Nina from her grandson. The prison time will do that for him. At least, that appears to be the plan. And even if she does get off, this will put her at a disadvantage if she tries for legal visitation rights.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The problems
Where do we even begin with the problems possibly ahead? Michael could end up getting some bad publicity or other issues from more or less bribing a political candidate to investigate someone.
Two, this could make things interesting for him and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Based on Friday’s episode, we don’t think she even remotely approves of his actions. She all but called him out as making excuses t convince himself he did the right thing, and if he goes too much further, she could start seeing him in a different light. Willow clearly already feels slighted by him making this move behind her back.
Finally, there’s Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). While he’s ordered Nina to stay away from him and his family, the couple of times they have interacted in Port Charles, he’s been way more civil than he probably should be. So, he’s clearly still feeling the love that developed in Nixon Falls on some level.
Plus, he advised Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) back off and hasn’t told her a thing about what really went on between him and Nina. We think if he finds out what Michael did, Sonny might have objections of his own. He might even be surprised and a little disappointed his son has taken this more Sonny-like turn. And none of this is going to be conducive to helping them rebuild their bonds and move on with their lives. Â
