ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is trying to do the “right” thing. As Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) seems to be losing his fight for life, she’s stuck by him. This is despite being in love with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Things, however, took an awkward turn, and we’re waiting for this to get worse than any of the characters imagined. Let’s take a look at what’s been going on and why this could be terrible.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Good intent
As we said in other articles, the road to Hell is usually paved with good intentions. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that’s what Willow and Michael have with Chase. They don’t want to break the news of their love while he’s at GH fighting an unknown ailment.
On the surface, that seems like a noble thing. And, at first, reasonable. After all, no one but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knew how serious this Chase thing was going to be when it happened.
So, with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), a genius at what he does, on the job, they thought Chase would be cured and back to normal in no time. So, the idea of waiting made sense. However, it’s losing logic by the day.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Getting in deeper
After all this time of playing the devoted girlfriend, Chase finally went for the ultimate in awkward. He asked Willow to marry him. We can see her being phased at first, but we think accepting the proposal was a bad idea. She’s lying to Chase and allowing him to enter into a union that isn’t what he thinks.
Not only that, but she’s lying to everyone else as well. We can just imagine how Chase’s parents will feel if they learn their soon-to-be daughter-in-law doesn’t want their son. She’s just staying with him out of pity, essentially.
Sooner or later, the truth does come out in these shows. So, she’s basically sitting on a time bomb. And banking that Chase somehow won’t find out the truth before he passes.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we see
Frankly, we don’t think they’ll kill Chase. We just don’t see it ending this way. Especially since ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Finn gets an idea in Wednesday’s episode. He won’t stop trying, and we do see him succeeding. That leaves Willow in a messed-up situation.
Given Finn’s prognosis and Chase saying he does feel the end is near, she’s not expecting this marriage to last very long. She probably figures she’ll play the part and leave him pass happily married. She’s not thinking about what if Chase lives?
That leaves her either trapped in a marriage she doesn’t want, or she’ll have to break his heart even worse than if she’d just been honest at the start. This could devastate Chase and send him down a dark path. Seriously, this situation seems like the definition of honesty is the best policy.
