NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal part of what we suspected came true. Victor Kiriakis (Joh Aniston) decided to get involved in the case against Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), as well as Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth). What we were apparently wrong about, though, was Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) apparently had nothing to do with it. At least, not as far as we could tell. Let’s take a look at what happened and why we think this could be trouble.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The plan
Apparently, Victor is a better man than we thought. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate he’s planning to help Xander, of all people. We’d think he would want nothing to do with this, given Xander’s history, the charges, and how he quit in a huff rather than work with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). At any rate, Victor wasted no time in calling Melinda Trask (Tina Huang). At first, she wanted nothing to do with any deals. After all, she’s got an air-tight, no-brainer case. And Lord knows the Salem PD needs one. However, Victor knew just where to hit her.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Conflicts
We’ll give some credit. It’s not 100% bias and conflict on Melinda’s part. When she pointed out Victor would have to give her a pretty big win to make up for letting a couple of criminals off, she had no idea what he was prepared to give her in exchange. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate it was something real good.
He was ready to offer her Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). He even later approached Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) about hiring Black Patch to find the fugitive. Kristen’s name was all Melinda needed to hear. Just like that, she was ready to forget her utter disgust at Justin’s lack of ethics and Xander’s alleged crime. It’s typical for her. When something gets personal, Melinda is always ready to bend the rules a bit. But will this work out in her favor?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Complication
There’s one problem we see here. Justin didn’t just try to blackmail anyone. He blackmailed a judge. One who, from what we can tell, has considerable influence. We have a feeling Mr. Dishonorable won’t be happy to learn his blackmailer is getting off with a likely slap on the wrist, at best. Nor will he be happy the alleged dealer he was blackmailed for is getting off as well. He’ll have questions and might bring about a complaint. We just don’t see her as being able to sell the man on the idea Kristen is worth Justin and Xander.
Of course, could Melinda be so over all these people she’s willing to double-cross Victor? It’s possible. It could be a huge win for her to not only get Kristen, but to nab a dealer and a blackmailer at the same time. We’ll see how this goes, but we suspect there will be plenty of drama for a little while.
