On TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Way Thore has been through a lot of heartache. Now she is seeing a French man who she thinks could be a good fit for her. She has battled some personal issues though and one of these is her weight. She chats with her new man about her weight and she discusses having weight loss surgery too. He thinks that she is perfect the way she is, but she explains more to the cameras on the next episode.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Wants Weight Loss Surgery
Whitney was crushed when she found out that Chase Severino cheated on her while they were engaged. He ended up having a baby with the woman as well and that threw Whitney’s whole world upside down. She started taking French lessons during the pandemic to get her mind off of Chase and she ended up meeting her mystery man.
They have talked every day since and she even went out to see him in France. She told him that she was getting her second vaccine so she could come and see him and then they joked about getting married after she made the comment that the governments make exceptions for those who are married.
In the midst of their chat, she brings up the fact that her mother just wants her to lose weight and settle down with a man. He says to her, “Oh really? Thats’ awful, I’m sorry. I mean, look at you. I mean, I have trouble understanding how you can’t find a decent person to care about you.” Whitney tells cameras, “It’s really preferred to find someone who appreciated all that I have to offer right now. But yeah, I’m starting to wonder if that’s not going to happen, I guess.”
Whitney tells her new man that she thinks the weight loss surgery would change her life. He then tells her, “Just don’t do it expecting anything from anyone else. What I’m trying to say is you are already perfectly well the way you are.” When she heard him say this, she was overwhelmed with joy and feels that he could be a good fit for her. This could be one of the main reasons that she ends up going to France to visit him during such a crazy time.
