Many fans of the show mentioned that they thought the relationship with Whitney and Chase seemed very scripted. Whitney did share with her fans that they had broken up because she found out that he has been seeing another woman. To add insult to injury, that other woman is now expecting a baby.

TLC My Big Fat Fabulous Life Spoilers: Whitney Thore Announces Split!
Whitney took to Instagram to explain what happened to her fans. “Chase and I are no longer engaged. After experiencing a lot of ups and downs and still living apart, Chase reconnected with a woman with who he has had a long history. Chase recently told me this information and the fact that it had resulted in a pregnancy. Chase will be a father in October. I am not interested in anything hateful being directed toward anyone and I just want to move on and focus on the future.”
Chase felt that he needed to post on Instagram as well. He did share that he was expecting a baby with his new girlfriend. He wanted Whitney’s fans just to send her positive thoughts. “I have nothing but love and respect for Whitney and our time together. Thank you for always supporting us. As we now go our separate ways, I ask for privacy for Whitney, myself, and the mother of my child who wishes to remain anonymous.”
Whitney and Chase let us into their relationship in the sixth season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. They met one another through a business partner of Whitney’s. The two went to Paris on vacation and then that’s when Chase proposed. That was in October of last year. They didn’t tell their fans until December. Many fans think that their relationship was all part of the show and that the two of them never were going to get married. Fans did noticed that the two of them never finished their Knot page for their wedding, so that also made them think that this was all part of the show.
