On the new season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, we will meet Steven Johnston and his girlfriend, Alina. He is a 25-year-old from Utah, who is a devout Mormon. Alina is 19 and lives in Russia. The two have been dating long-distance for a while now and they are getting ready to meet one another face to face.
There is a lot of anxiety about their meeting though. Steven has asked Alina to convert to Mormonism so that they can get married and be together, but everything that she has learned about Mormons makes her feel like she is about to join a cult.

With the pandemic really hitting the world hard, the borders to some countries were closed off to Americans. This happened with Russia when Steven was getting ready to fly out there to marry Alina. They decided that they would have to get married in Turkey instead, but there was one big secret that Steven is hiding from her. Will it put their marriage on hold?

In the trailer for the new episode of the show, Steven’s secret may change everything. He tells cameras that when he told Alina about being a Mormon, she refused to meet him. She told him that the stories that she had heard about Mormons were all about how they were going to harvest and sell her organs!
He tells cameras, “My faith has always been superbly important to me.” He went on mission trips to Russia and that is how he knows the language. “I’m super grateful that I did learn it because now I have Alina.”
Steven continues to tell cameras, “From the very get-go, we were kind of interested in each other.” He did have to tell Alina more about his religion. “I told her, ‘hey, I’m not going to harvest your organs. I’m not gonna kidnap you.'” When these two finally met face to face, they embraced instantly and they could truly feel the connection.
Will this connection be enough to keep them together though? Will things get too tough for them to make it? From what we have seen on social media, they do still follow each other on Instagram and his bio says he is working on a MPA at Penn State and her’s says that she is a college student at BYU Pathway. Does this mean that she is working on converting?
