’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that, when Asuelu Pulaa and family were going to get a Christmas tree, wife Kalani Faagata Pulaa asked him about Samoan Christmas traditions and unlike here in the United States, Christmas in Samoa is decidedly different.
For one thing, they’re not really big on the whole ‘Santa’ mythos and Asuelu said that he would not be teaching his kids that, but I have a feeling that he might be a little late to the game when it comes to that.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Samoan Christmas traditions are… different
I just don’t see these two little boys growing up in the US without at least believing a little in Santa Claus, especially if they’re going to be exposed to their peers. (Although if Kalani and Asuelu plan on homeschooling Duggar style then that might be a bit of a different story – though, honestly I kind of doubt it.)
Asuelu said that Christmas in Samoa was diffeent, they would dress all in white, even dying their hair white, and go out in the middle of he street and sing ‘Christian Songs’ (I’m guessing hymns) in Samoan and sometimes people would give them money. He demonstrated when Kalani asked him, the song was in his native Samoan but it sounded pretty.
Kalani said that if she had heard that she would have definitely “made it rain” for him, I mean, I could see where the song would be a lot better with a truly gifted singer and no shade to Asuelu but I wouldn’t be telling him to quite his dayjob anytime soon for that singing career… ahem.
Lo and Kolini didn’t realize until this particular day that Tammy and Asuelu’s Mom, Lesena, would be driving down before Lesena goes back to Samoa to see the family. Kolini wasn’t too enthused over it because Tammy has threatened to actually beat her up, however Lo just kind of laughed and told Kolini to let both women come and see if Tammy actually followed through on her threat.
He did say that people sometimes said things online and over video calls that they didn’t mean and while that is valid, I can’t help but think that Tammy means it. Guess we’ll see at Christmas, won’t we? Stay tuned!!!
