When it comes to the celebrity world, there is certainly a thing that is known as over exposure and well, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be getting very close to it. In fact, there’s a new report that suggests both fans and critics alike are getting tired of Harry and Meghan saturating the media all the time, as it might be time for them to take a break from the spotlight. Here’s what you need to know.
One media expert says that the Duke and Duchess are in danger of being “overexposed” so much so that they might also abandon the millions of fans they’ve managed to make on both sides of the pond. In fact, Meghan’s new initiative, her ‘40 x 40’ project, in which she asked 40 of her famous friends to mentor women in order to help get them back into the workforce, has failed to garner much support or get any attention for that matter.
Fans Are Growing Tired Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle, According To Media Expert
According to one Hollywood production chief, who has asked to remain anonymous, told Britain’s Express, “I’m sure they were both surprised and disappointed at how comparatively little coverage her birthday and her new crusade managed to generate in their new homeland. But the fact is that while people here are fascinated by the royals in general and Harry and Meghan in particular, they are not obsessed like the folks they left behind in Britain.”
The insider added, “I think many fans in America are not only confused but also a little bored by the social activism. It’s great that they seem to support so many worthy causes but most people don’t like to be preached at and, frankly, can’t relate to some of the things they say. Sometimes less is more and if Harry and Meghan are really trying to build a massive following for their Archewell brand, they might want to limit their public appearances rather than trying to set the news agenda every week. As well as being somewhat overexposed, there’s also the risk of spreading themselves too thinly by taking on so much it might prove impossible to accomplish everything they have set out to.”
So far both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not responded to any of the criticism.
