ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Laura Webber (Genie Francis) has a history of bending things a bit if she thinks it’s the right thing to do. Look at how she went along with that family dinner, knowing that there was likely something more behind Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) desire for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to be occupied for a night.

She’s also been self-sacrificing, like when she offered to take the place of Trina Robinson and Portia Robison (Sydney Mikayla and Brook Kerr) when Cyrus held them captive.  We think she’s made a similar move and what should be a huge mistake. Let’s take a look at what happened.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Doing the right thing

Like Laura, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) is also willing to do the wrong thing for the right reason. Look at how she manufactured evidence. Forgetting the fact someone who was high up as she was while undercover should have gotten usable info, let’s go with the idea this was the only way.

Jordan made a few other questionable moves when that choice came back to haunt her. However, she did the right thing, in our opinion. Jordan tendered her resignation and in any other world but a soap, it should have been accepted.

We’ll agree with Laura that the move showed a level of integrity and willingness to suffer the consequences of her actions. We just think Laura’s idealistic view of the situation is a bit unrealistic.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Possible fallout

Jordan was right. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she diverted police resources to help Cyrus move drugs into Port Charles. Sure, she was under threat and had to protect her family.

But she still did that, and more. In any other world, this would not be looked at as favorably as Laura thinks. She’s been compromised because of past shady actions. Sure, it was for the right thing. But it led to the PCPD being somewhat under Cyrus’ control, thanks to his influence over Jordan.

Why should the people of Port Charles trust that Jordan didn’t pull any other similar acts to catch the bad guys? Acts that could once again leave her vulnerable to being used for criminal purposes. The fact Laura was so dismissive of the idea makes us question her judgement.

She should have at least acknowledged the possible problems, but add that if that means some backlash or losing office, she’s fine with that. But, again, it was more along the lines of, “Oh, the people will think you’re great and see your attempt to resign as proof you deserve to keep the job.”

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we’d want to see

We’d love to see at least a little bit of drama over Laura’s decision. It’d be the realistic way to go and a little more interesting than a neatly-tied bow.

Besides, we personally don’t think we’ve seen the end of Cyrus, so if/when he does return, we’d love to see some concern about his presence and whether Jordan will be strong-armed again, as he did when he threatened her family.
